Alabama Football was able to flip 4-star safety Peyton Woodyard away from the Georgia Bulldogs on Tuesday. Woodyard hails from California, and had been committed to UGA since January.
Per the 247Sports Composite, he is considered a top-100 player and the no. 6 safety in the nation. He is also ranked as the ninth-best player in the loaded state of California.
While the addition of Woodyard alone is a major pickup for the Crimson Tide, it always means a little more to pluck a blue-chip prospect from an SEC foe and fellow national title contender.
