Other than at quarterback, any mystery about Alabama football starters against Louisville is rapidly fading. The first unit offensive line is set. Same for the running back and the receivers. The front seven on defense is set. Barring some unexpected reversal, Tuesday’s practice appeared to show the starters in the secondary are set.
As Nick Saban would be quick to say, it takes more than starters to win a football game. Instead of 11 on offense, Alabama football will rotate around 20 offensive players. On defense, the number will be around 18. Those numbers increase when a game hits mop-up time.
