There was much good for Alabama football in the 49-7 win over Southern Mississippi. The Tua-led Crimson Tide offense scored on its first four possessions. Tua Tagovailoa again threw five touchdown passes. The blazingly fast receiver and returner for the Golden Eagles, Jaylond Adams was shackled by the Crimson Tide defense and coverage units.
Adams had two rushes for six yards and caught five passes for 17 yards. He returned three kickoffs and one punt for a total of 53 yards. Shutting down Adams with no points effectively neutered the Southern Miss offense.
The Crimson Tide also made all seven of its extra-point attempts – leading us to the not good news.
