Alabama football- If there were any questions as to whether or not the Alabama defense would be able to slow down a high powered passing attack, they were answered tonight. After allowing Ole Miss to score on their first possession of the game, the Tide defense shook off the initial punch from Matt Luke and company and blanked the Rebels for the remainder of the game. The defensive backfield for Bama was absolutely suffocating, as Trevon Diggs and Deionte Thompson each had career-best games. Diggs had two crucial pass breakups and Thompson was all over the field making it nearly impossible for Ole Miss to find any type of rhythm offensively.
