DeVonta Smith enters his Junior season with the Alabama Football team this year and will again compete for passes among the Tide’s stacked wide receiver core. A 5-star recruit out of Louisiana, DeVonta Smith earned the title Most Outstanding Player after leading his team to the Class 3A state championship game. He brought his talents to Tuscaloosa choosing Alabama over LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, and TCU.
Smith made his big debut at the end of his freshman season with the overtime National Championship winning catch. During that season, he had only 8 receptions totaling 160 yards with 3 touchdowns.
