Awards season for college football is in full swing and the accolades for members of the Alabama football team continue to roll in. Four Alabama freshmen were named to the All-SEC Freshman Team, the conference office announced on Thursday.
The Tide and Texas A&M lead the conference with four selections each. Making the list for the Tide include wide receiver Calvin Ridley, offensive lineman Ross Pierschbacher, defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick and defensive back Marlon Humphrey.
The honors for the freshmen Tide players come after Alabama led the conference with ten selections to the first and second team for the All-SEC Coaches Team and Derrick Henry and Reggie Ragland receiving the offensive and defensive players of the year, respectively.
