Alabama football went back to work Monday and later Nick Saban met with local media. Monday’s practice was the first of seven sessions for the Crimson Tide before breaking for Christmas.
Three Alabama football players were not involved Monday. They were Terrell Lewis, Trevon Diggs and D.J. Dale. Lewis and Diggs have chosen to end their Alabama football careers in anticipation of the NFL Draft. Dale has not recovered from what has been called a ‘twisted knee.’ He will not practice for, or play in the Citrus Bowl, for what is said to be ‘precautionary’ reasons.
Trey Sanders and Miller Forristall returned to the practice field.
