Friday was a good day for two former Alabama football players in Irv Smith Jr. and Damien Harris. It was a disappointing day for other former Crimson Tide players. Mack Wilson and Deionte Thompson were never expected to still be waiting on Draft calls in the fourth round. Particularly disappointing was the large number of safeties who were selected in the Draft’s first three rounds. Thompson’s decision to leave school early will be much debated. The same can be said for Mack Wilson.
Also still having to sweat out a selection are Christian Miller, Isaiah Buggs, Saivion Smith and Ross Piersbacher.
