Day one and the first round was good to former Alabama football players. Three former Crimson Tiders were selected in the first round Thursday night in Nashville.

Irv Smith Jr. was selected by the Minnesota Vikings as the No. 50 pick in the second round.
It is tempting to say Irv Smith Jr. was destined to become an NFL football player.
