Former Alabama football players had a week to remember during week 7 of the NFL season. Starting on Thursday Night Football, former receiver Amari Cooper posted a career-high 210 receiving yards on 11 receptions.
From there, the rest of the NFL was playing catch up with Alabama football alumni, literally.
- O.J. Howard – 6 receptions – 98 yards – 2 touchdowns
- Mark Ingram – 22 carries – 105 yards – 1 touchdown
- T.J. Yeldon – 9 carries – 122 yards – 1 touchdown
- Julio Jones – 9 receptions – 99 yards – 1 touchdown
- Eddie Jackson – 2 defensive touchdowns (both 75-plus yards *NFL record)
That type of production from players from the same school, in the same week, is unheard of in the NFL.
