Alabama football holds serve in Week 3 SEC Power Rankings

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

Another ho-hum victory over another overmatched opponent. New Mexico State managed to get 10 points, 266 yards and $1.7 million for their troubles and the Tide managed to play a lot of players. The matchup again proved that early-season second-team play is still a tightrope walk, but it was actually the first-team that allowed the Aggies’ only touchdown.

Alabama football should be plenty geared up for their first away game of the season this Saturday in Columbia, SC. In fact, the last time a Saban-coached Tide team lost to a program from the East, it was 2010 against the Gamecocks.
