Alabama Football sends a lot of talent to the NFL. Glen Coffee was one of those names called up to the league in 2009. The 49ers took the Bama Junior running back with the 74th overall pick in the 3rd round.
He scored one touchdown in 2009. He scored none in 2010. That’s because Coffee, in a move that stunned everyone involved, decided to leave the league and millions of dollars behind in San Francisco before the start of the 2010 season.
He has rarely spoken with the media since.
He spent a couple of years as a stay at home dad of sorts close to his hometown in Florida according to a report by Dan Lamothe for the Washington Post but he wasn’t done with the spotlight.
