The chances for A.J. McCarron to be signed as a NFL starting QB diminished on Tuesday. The former Alabama football player and backup for the Cincinnati Bengals may be down to the Buffalo Bills.
McCarron was set to be traded from the Bengals to the Browns months ago. The deal was perceived to offer A.J. a good chance to be named the 2018 starter in Cleveland. At the last minute, the deal fell through or was botched depending on which story considered credible. At the time, it was believed when the current free agent window opened, McCarron would have multiple options.
