Outside the Crimson Nation, every sports fan roots against Alabama football. The hated Crimson Tide rivals Duke men’s basketball, University of Connecticut’s women’s basketball and the New York Yankees as sport’s most hated team.
Unfortunately, as long as Alabama football coach Nick Saban remains on the sidelines, the Tide will be contenders for the title every year. The 66-year-old has made six National Championship game appearances at Alabama with his only loss at the hands of Clemson.
Coaches Urban Meyer, Jimbo Fisher, and Dabo Swinney are the only remaining active coaches that have won a national championship in the past ten years.
