Mathews is a product of Ponchatoula High School in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi State and LSU rounded out Mathews’ top six. The five-star defensive back said he cut his offers down to six programs to show everyone which schools he was heavily considering.
