Alabama football asking for donations to help Louisiana flood victims

The Alabama football program is putting any rivalry aside to help Louisiana residents in need.

The school announced Thursday that it’s asking for donations to provide to victims of the recent flooding that has ravaged Louisiana, notably Baton Rouge, where LSU is located.

“When natural disasters occur, like the catastrophic flooding in south Louisiana, football and rivalries take a back seat to providing help to those in need,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said in a release. “So many people came to the aid of the Tuscaloosa community following the tornado, we wanted to try and do something to give back to those who have lost so much in Louisiana.
