Numbers and statistics can be cruel sometimes. You think you have it all figured out and can tell exactly what is going to happen and then BAM the numbers betray you. I was positive that Alabama football would bring it to Ole Miss last week in Tuscaloosa.
The spread was set at 38 and I had no doubt that Alabama football would dominate through the air and easily cover the 38 points. The math agreed, calling for the Crimson Tide to win by 42. It looked, even as late as the beginning of the 4th quarter, that the Tide would ultimately cover the 38 points.
