Alabama football loves the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.) Throw in New Jersey and the four states (well three and a district) have been filling the Alabama football roster with top players for a few years.
There are too many players coming from those areas to list them all but a partial list must include Jonathan Allen, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Cyrus and Arie Kouandjio, who attended the same high school as Hellams. From the 2018 signing class, Eyabi Anoma came from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. Both Terrell Lewis and Trevon Diggs are from Maryland. It has been a Crimson Tide pipeline that hopefully will not end with Mike Locksley leaving Tuscaloosa as the new Maryland head coach.
