Alabama football has reaped some important rewards from cultivating connections and prospects from the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia) in recent recruiting classes. This year’s class had four verbal commits from Maryland and the District.
Mike Locksley has played a major role in further expanding the Crimson Tide’s presence in the area. Last year’s big get was 5-Star, Eyabi Anoma. Eyabi helped persuade 2019 prospects, Shane Lee and Darrian Dalcourt. Lee and Dalcourt played for the same school Anoma did, St. Frances Academy.
Fortunately for Alabama football, Mike Locksley’s move from Tuscaloosa to Maryland did not negatively impact Alabama football recruiting.
