Alabama football signee Stephon Wynn could have easily chosen to play his college ball at Clemson. The Tigers wanted him and his father played at Clemson in the early 1990’s. The younger Wynn wanted to play in the SEC.
Growing up in Anderson, SC, Wynn finished his high school career at the IMG Academy. Georgia and South Carolina tried to close Wynn but saw a big advantage in joining Alabama football.
Nick Saban and Karl Dunbar explained to Wynn that he had the physical attributes for a Jontahn Allen type role with the Tide. At 6-feet-5 and 285 pounds Wynn can easily play on the interior of the Tide defensive line.
