Pete Golding has received much criticism in his time at Alabama, but Crimson Tide fans are singing his praises after a masterful performance versus Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl Classic.
Golding and the Tide held the Bearcats out of the end zone. Alabama surrendered two field goals and earned a 27-6 victory.
Golding’s defense forced six sacks, eight tackles for loss, six pass breakups, and two quarterback hurries. The 37-year-old called an exceptional game, and Alabama frustrated Desmond Ridder. Cincinnati totaled 218 yards offensively and posted 74 yards rushing. He eyes a second national championship with the Tide, but fans are starting to come around him via Twitter.
