Excitement has followed new University of Alabama men’s basketball coach Avery Johnson around like a new puppy since Johnson was hired in April, but nothing has fueled that excitement more than recruiting.
The Crimson Tide has made an immediate splash in the recruiting world this summer, gathering commitments from two high-profile high school recruits — including one top 12 five-star national player, 6-foot-7 swingman Terrance Ferguson — and a top 15 junior college shooter. UA expects to sign all three players in the early signing period, which begins Wednesday.
