The University of Alabama men’s basketball team outlasted Jacksonville State in a 67-59 overtime victory on Tuesday night.
Alabama (8-3) went 8 of 8 from the free throw line in overtime to secure the win. Justin Coleman went 4 of 4 from the line in the final minute of overtime. He went 6 of 6 on his way to six points. Jacksonville State’s JaQuail Townser hit a 3-pointer with 32 seconds remaining in regulation to tie it at 55-55, and send the game into overtime.
“I’m really proud of how our guys persevered,” Alabama coach Avery Johnson said.
