Alabama fans suffered many emotions in Saturday’s game versus Texas, but frustration was the biggest one.
The Crimson Tide improves to 2-0 with a 20-19 victory, but it was a disappointing performance.
Alabama’s offense could not run the ball effectively, its offensive line struggled to keep pressure from Bryce Young, the receivers could not get open, Alabama’s defense failed to generate pressure on Texas’ passing game, and penalties hurt the Tide. Alabama lost 100 yards from 15 penalties, including several on defense. Big plays for the Tide came from Jase McClellan and Jahmyr Gibbs as McClellan recorded an 82-yard touchdown run.
