KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Alabama women's basketball team went into Sunday afternoon's game hopeful to end a 32-year losing streak. Unfortunately, the Crimson Tide left Tennessee without a victory.
The Tennessee Lady Volunteers won 70-42 against the Crimson Tide. Alabama is now 13-9 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
“On a day like today you credit Tennessee,” coach Kristy Curry said. “Obviously they had a tough week last week, and I thought they bounced back with an exclamation point. That speaks of their character and the coaching staff.”
Alabama started off fairly strong against the Vols.
