The University of Alabama soccer team lost its fifth straight game on Sunday night when the Tennessee Volunteers beat the Crimson Tide 3-1.
Coach Wes Hart knew this would be a tough stretch. Three of Alabama’s last five opponents have been ranked in the top 18. Hart said Alabama did not start the game with the energy it needed.
“Confidence is so huge in sports, and right now you can tell our confidence and our psyche is a bit down,” Hart said.
Senior goalkeeper Emily Rusk got the start after sitting out the last two games.
