Jaheim Oatis looks like the next freshman to make an impact on Alabama’s defensive line.
He has committed to being in great shape to contribute, and the native Mississippian sees results. Oatis was listed at 370 pounds at 6-foot-5 on the Crimson Tide’s roster. Since then, he has dropped significant weight and announced his new weight on Twitter.
Oatis is now 357 pounds and wants to lose 17 more pounds.
If he enters fall camp at 340 pounds, Oatis will have the power, quickness, explosiveness, footwork, and leverage to be a force inside. Coach Nick Saban was impressed with the four-star defensive lineman in spring practice.
