Alabama senior defensive lineman Jonathan Allen won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy on Monday night in Charlotte, North Carolina for the first of a possible five national awards.

Allen also is a finalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award, the Lott IMPACT Trophy, the Bednarik Award and the Hendricks Award.
Allen is Alabama’s first-ever Nagurski Trophy winner, which is awarded annually to the nation’s top defensive player.
Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster, Florida State cornerback Tarvarus McFadden, Michigan linebacker Jabrill Peppers and Clemson defensive lineman Christian Wilkins joined Allen as finalists for the award.
