It is now confirmed that Alabama football will not have a defensive lineman after this season.
Jehiem Oatis, a junior defensive tackle, announced via Instagram that he will redshirt the remainder of this campaign and enter the NCAA transfer portal. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported the news Monday, but Oatis confirmed everything himself.
The 6-foot-5, 325-pounder totaled two tackles, a pass breakup, and a quarterback hurry in five games.

Oatis, a former four-star from Mississippi, played in 25 career games — including 13 starts in 2022 and 2023.
