On game day, it would be hard to spot something is wrong with Shyheim Carter's gloved right hand.
But behind the walls at Alabama, it's easy to detect.
With nothing covering the skin, the sizable scar that runs along the back of his mitt is unmistakable. And at practice, Carter sports heavy bandage wrapped in club-like form.
Carter says he hates the protection, which also accompanies him at games.
After all, it makes it more challenging for him to defend receivers coming off the line.
"It is hard to do press coverage with the club," the junior defensive back said with a smile.
