Brown races in the preliminary rounds of the men’s 100 on Thursday at the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, Calif. His ultimate goal: one of the three spots available on the United States team for the world championships in London, August 4 through 13.
Brown races in the opening heat at about 6:35 p.m. PDT, or 8:35 in Tuscaloosa. USATF organizers have adjusted the schedule to adapt to unseasonably hot temperatures in Sacramento.
