Walking out of a recent interview, Trevon Diggs sounded relieved. Nobody asked the question he assumed was coming about his lack on interceptions.
Everybody had one but him, it seemed. They were probably reminding him in the locker room.
Well, that streak ended Saturday.
"Finally," Diggs said.
The junior intercepted Andre Nunez on the final play of the first half of Alabama's 56-14 win over Louisiana-Lafayette.
"We've been on him," said safety Xavier McKinney, owner of two interceptions this season, "in his head for a long time now because he didn't have one but now he's part of the pick club so I guess we like him now.
