First off, I’m going to speak for my fellow contributors and experts by saying that we want a national title for Alabama football. We always want a national title for the Alabama Crimson Tide. National titles are an official currency in Tuscaloosa. They use them as a bartering system for Mercedes and barbecue.
It’s not difficult to understand why we want national titles. Alabama football head coach Nick Saban has made it very easy to expect such a thing. We understand that the law of numbers dictates we can’t get what we want every year, but with a win over Oklahoma this Saturday, Saban could have the Tide playing in their fourth straight title game.
