Nick Saban may be the most successful college football coach ever, but he's only won back-to-back national championships once.
No program other than Alabama has accomplished that feat since the arrival of the BCS system in 1998. Nebraska did it in 1994 and '95. USC won in 2004 and ranked No. 1 in some polls in '03, but Saban's LSU won the BCS title game.
Saban stats induce glossed-over eyes at this point in his career. But if he can pull off another back-to-back this season, it may go down as his greatest accomplishment.
