Alabama commit Jalyn Armour-Davis didn't do anything special in his return from injury for St. Paul's on Friday night.
But just playing was enough.
Armour-Davis and the Class 5A No. 2 Saints made two red zone stands in the final six minutes and held off Region 1 rival Jackson 17-6 to remain undefeated.
"Jalyn showed a lot of courage just being out there," St. Paul's coach Steve Mask said. "He had knee surgery two weeks ago. He didn't do anything special, but just his presence is big. Having a guy like that on the field is a big advantage.
