A veteran member of Alabama’s secondary will return next fall.
Trevon Diggs, who missed nine games of the 2018 season due to a foot injury, announced via social media that he will return to the Crimson Tide for his senior year. The former four-star athlete and Maryland native totaled 20 tackles, six pass breakups and one interception.
The 6-foot-2, 199-pound cornerback hurt his foot against Arkansas in a 65-31 win for Alabama inside D.W.R. Razorback Stadium. With Diggs returning, the Tide will have depth and experience at the position.
His range, athleticism and toughness earned him a starting spot left corner in 2017, until Levi Wallace emerged and took the spot after the matchup against Florida State.
