This year, with a team that was picked to finish 13th in the SEC, an NIT bid is encouraging. Yeah, it hurt to fall off the bubble after Alabama got some serious hype late in February. But getting Avery Johnson some more practices and some more time to work with his team before he sends them off for the summer is great.
