It did not take long for Alabama basketball and James Rojas to pull the trigger after Tendon Watford opted for LSU. The JUCO All-American waited patiently for Watford’s decision. More than a few Crimson Tide fans had hoped Nate Oats would not wait on Watford and risk losing Rojas.
Apparently, Rojas was so solidly sold on Oats exercising patience was not a problem. Earlier this year, Rojas was headed to Buffalo to play for Nate Oats. The relationship between the coach and player goes back a few years.
Some basketball insiders have described Rojas as the perfect forward for Nate Oats’ style of play.
