It was announced yesterday morning that Alabama men’s basketball head coach Nate Oats was voted as the SEC Coach of the Year by the SEC. Senior wing Herbert Jones was named the SEC Player of the Year, as well as the Defensive Player of the Year.
Nate Oats is in his second year at Alabama. Already he has achieved a 21-6 record and the SEC regular season championship. They will compete in the SEC Tournament as the #1 seed. They are also slated to appear in the NCAA Tournament as a #2 seed.
Herbert Jones earned 1st-team All-SEC Honors to go along with his Player of the Year Award.
