Alabama Basketball: Collin Sexton Ineligible, will sit until cleared by NCAA

The news was released by UA AD Greg Byrne, who said the NCAA informed them late Monday afternoon. Several days ago we expressed concern that Alabama basketball coach, Avery Johnson was being vague about Sexton’s eligibility in the wake of the FBI probe into college basketball.

The action by Alabama basketball may well be cautionary and if so it does not indicate Sexton is at risk of extended ineligibility issues.

Alabama will withhold Collin Sexton from tonight’s exhibition game against UAH, per AD Greg Byrne.
