In a rare mid-day, mid-week game, the Alabama Crimson Tide hosts the Dayton Flyers Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. in the ESPN Tip-Off Marathon. The Flyers destroyed the Tide 80-48 last season in coach Avery Johnson's second game at the Capstone. Dayton defeated Austin Peay 96-68 on Friday, while the Tide opened with a 70-53 victory over Coastal Carolina. Dayton is 13-3 over their last 16 games vs SEC opponents, including four in a row. Last year UD went 4-1 against power five schools, beating Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Alabama and Iowa.
Coach Archie Miller's squad was led by a career high 31 points from senior Charles Cooke on Friday, hitting 11-17 from the field.
