New Alabama baseball coach Rob Vaughn received 12 National Letters of Intent on November 8th, and had added five more since. The class included nine pitchers and eight position players.

* Carter Johnson, 6’2” 180 pounds, infielder, Oxford High School, Oxford, Alabama. Johnson is the consensus number one player in Alabama. Prep Baseball Report has Johnson as the #4 overall prospect in the USA, and #2 shortstop in the country. Perfect Game lists Johnson as #1 in the state, and #25 overall. The shortstop played in the World Cup as a member of team USA and was invited to USA Baseball’s 18U National Team Training Camp.
