Today could be the final game in a disappointing season for Alabama.

Today could also be the start of a week-long run that keeps the Crimson Tide’s postseason hopes alive.

Welcome to SEC Tournament time.

Needing a minimum of three wins this week to even enter NCAA Tournament discussion, Alabama, the No. 11 seed, fights to extend its season against No. 6-seed Ole Miss in the tourney opener at 9:30 a.m. today. Without a hot streak, the Crimson Tide (30-26, 12-18 SEC) will miss the postseason for the first time since 2012, and the only sure bid would be winning the whole tournament.
