In what was almost a must win series the Alabama Crimson Tide came up a little short this weekend, losing to LSU on Friday and Sunday, sandwiched around a victory on Saturday. The Tide lost a heartbreaker 2-1 on Friday night, bounced back to win 6-5 on Saturday and got blown out 13-5 on Sunday. Bama fell to 29-19 overall and 12-14 in the SEC while the Tigers improved to 32-19 overall and 11-16 in the conference. Alabama hosts third ranked Mississippi State this coming weekend and likely need to take the series to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive.
