The Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team continues to be honored after their season was short by the novel COVID19 virus. The Tide finished the shortened season with a 16-1 record, the best winning percentage in school history. Three members of the squad were named to the College Baseball News Freshman All-American Team: left handed pitchers Connor Prielipp and Antoine Jean, and DH-OF Owen Diodati. This marked the first time the school had three players named, besting the two selections in 1999 and 2013. CBN named four Freshman Players Of The Year, and Prielipp was one of them.,
Prielipp joined longtime MLB pitcher Wade LeBlanc as Alabama players named National Player Of The Year.
