HOOVER | A pack of four Crimson Tide pitchers combined to help Alabama baseball shut out the seventh-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores, 1-0, on Saturday. Following the win, Alabama closes out the regular season at 30-26 overall and 12-18 in the conference.

With the victory, Alabama head coach Mitch Gaspard collected his 200th victory overall as the head man at the University of Alabama. Gaspard also reached the 30-win plateau for the fifth time in his six seasons at the helm thanks to Saturday’s shutout performance.

Both teams went scoreless through the first five, but Alabama used the bottom of the sixth to break the tie.
