Alabama, Auburn getting closer look at state's Mr. Football

La'Damian Webb's film and accomplishments speak for themselves.

The Beauregard running back notched 3,242 yards and scored an AHSAA single-season record 53 touchdowns in leading his team to last year's Class 5A championship. He gashed a stingy Wenonah defense for 359 yards on 51 carries for five touchdowns, setting Super 7 records in those three categories.

But his recruiting has picked up immensely because of one major honor. The 5-foot-8, 185-pound Webb was voted as the state's Mr. Football after his special season.

Major offers from every Power 5 conference have rolled in - Mississippi State, Utah, Louisville, Ole Miss, Missouri, Iowa State and Indiana, along with UAB, Middle Tennessee, Arkansas State, Troy, Southern Miss and Bowling Green.
