Nick Saban continues to grow a coaching staff of toughness on defense.
After hiring Charlie Strong as an analyst, the University of Alabama has added Max Bullough to Saban’s staff as a defensive assistant.
A former standout at Michigan State, Bullough was an impactful linebacker from 2010 to 2013.
He led the Spartans in tackles for 2011 (89) and 2012 (110), while assisting the 2013 defense to allowing just 13.2 points per game.
Bullough was on two Big Ten Championship teams (2010, 2013) and ended his career with 298 total tackles.
Despite not being selected in the 2014 NFL Draft, he signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent and played three seasons.
