Rain poured on Bryant-Denny Stadium about an hour before kickoff. The Alabama passing game dumped a little more on Texas A&M from there.
Tua Tagovailoa threw for the fifth-most yards by a Crimson Tide quarterback in a 45-23 beating of the Aggies on a humid Tuscaloosa afternoon. He accounted for four touchdowns through the air and another on the ground to fight off a Texas A&M program on the rise.
The Aggies created issues for the Tide defense at times, rolling up 393 total yards to Alabama's 524 but pressure got to quarterback Kellen Mond. The sophomore was sacked seven times.
