Former Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron is hoping to score another win in Tuscaloosa, Ala., when Ajian Sushi is slated to open this June. McCarron is set to co-own the “build your own” sushi restaurant.
Co-owner Pete Zimmer tells The Crimson White, the student newspaper at Alabama, that he had the idea for the restaurant when he went to visit his son, who is a sophomore at Alabama. He brought it up with McCarron’s Cincinnati Bengals teammate, defensive end Michael Johnson.
“I ran into Michael while I was in Cincinnati, and he was really enthusiastic about my idea for the restaurant,” Zimmer told the newspaper.
